| Subject of the standard: | The aim of the present standard is to determine the time necessary to disintegrate a test piece of toilet paper, in specified conditions. This test method is applicable to every type of toilet paper, with exception to papers used in toilets with a specific way of paper removal [for example watertight chemical toilets in some means of transport: see NF F 31-829 (French standard)]. Removal problems encountered in this latter case may then justify a greater degree of resistance of the product and thus a very long disintegration time, or even no disintegration at all. |
