General Terms and Conditions
1. General Provisions

- These General Terms and Conditions (hereinafter the "GTC") govern the rights and obligations of the Slovak Office of Standards, Metrology and Testing (hereinafter the "Office"), with its registered office at Štefanovičova 3,
P. O. Box 76, 810 05 Bratislava 15, Company ID No.: 30 810 710, Tax ID No.: 2020850711, and of the customer, arising from the contractual relationship concluded between the Office and the customer through the standards portal (e-shop), operated by the Office and located on the Office's website:

2. Definitions
- 2.1 The Standards E-shop is an online shop operated by the Office and located on the website https://normy.normoff.gov.sk.
- 2.2 Registration means completing an electronic form containing fields for entering customer data, including personal data. Data marked with an asterisk are mandatory data, and completion of these fields is necessary for the successful registration of the customer.
- 2.3 Customer means a natural person or legal entity who registers through the standards e-shop pursuant to Section 2.2 of the GTC and orders goods through it by submitting a binding order to the Office.
- 2.4 Authorised Person means a person other than the customer specified in the binding order as the person to whom the ordered goods are to be handed over. Providing the name of the authorised person in the order form is deemed to constitute authorisation for that person to take over the ordered goods.
- 2.5 Order Form means an electronic form containing customer data in the scope of identification data, e-mail and telephone contact details, billing details, ordered goods and information on the method of delivery and payment for the goods.

3. Ordering Goods
3.1 Goods may be ordered exclusively through the website https://normy.normoff.gov.sk following prior registration under Section 2.2 of the GTC. The Office reserves the right not to accept other forms of orders.
3.2 The customer completes the order for goods by confirming the function labelled "Complete order". Without undue delay after completion and subsequent processing of the order, the Office shall send confirmation of receipt of the order (order acceptance) to the customer's specified e-mail address. The confirmation of receipt of the order shall include the order number, name and specification of the goods, the final price of the goods including the costs of delivery of the goods (postage and packaging), the payment method, information on the estimated delivery period of the goods, information on the place to which the goods are to be delivered, customer details and, where applicable, other relevant information. Each customer order shall also be archived in the "My Profile" section (overview of historical orders), which the customer may access after logging in to the portal.
3.3 The customer may cancel the order before completing it by confirming the function labelled "Cancel" or "Back".
3.4 The customer has the right to cancel the order within 24 hours of its confirmation by the Office under Section 3.2 of the GTC. The Office shall notify the customer in writing of the confirmation of cancellation of the order. If the order has already been paid, the Office shall refund the price of the goods to the customer without undue delay, but no later than within 14 days, using the same method as the customer used for payment, unless they agree on another refund method, without charging the customer any additional fees.

4. Price of Goods and Payment Terms
4.1 The amount of the fee for goods is set out in the Decree of the Slovak Office of Standards, Metrology and Testing No. 76/2019 Coll. on the amount of the fee for the provision of a technical standard.
4.2 The price of goods under Section 4.1 of the GTC shall be paid using the following methods:
4.2.1 cash on delivery,
4.2.2 electronic banking (CardPay, Platby ONLINE),
4.2.3 bank transfer based on an issued pro forma invoice/invoice,
4.2.4 cash or card payment directly at the Office's Information Centre at Karloveská 63, 840 00 Bratislava.
5. Delivery Period
5.1 The delivery period within which the Office is obliged to deliver the ordered goods to the customer is 30 days from confirmation of the order by the Office under Section 3.2 of the GTC.
5.2 If a payment method other than cash on delivery is selected, the delivery period begins when the price of the goods under Section 4.1 of the GTC is credited to the Office's account.
6. Place of Delivery
The place of delivery is the address specified by the customer in the order form as the delivery address.
7. Methods of Delivery of Goods to the Place of Delivery
7.1 In the case of paper versions of standards, the goods are delivered to the customer's delivery address through the services of Slovenská pošta.
7.2 In the case of electronic versions of standards, the customer downloads the purchased standards from the Office's server.
8. Claims and Method of Returning Goods
8.1 Claims relating to goods and the method of returning goods and the amount paid are handled in accordance with the Commercial Code.
8.2 Claims are handled by telephone on business days during the opening hours of the Information Centre:

In the case of purchase of a standard in electronic format, the customer is not entitled to a refund of the fee paid, as STN and TNI contain personalised data and for this reason cannot be returned.
9. Personal Data Protection

10. Final Provisions
10.1 These GTC form an integral part of the contract concluded between the Office and the customer and are binding on both parties. Legal relationships established by the contract shall be governed by the provisions of the contract (i.e. the order confirmation or, where applicable, individually agreed terms), the provisions of these GTC and the applicable legal regulations.

Personal Data Processing Policy
Dear user,
we would hereby like to inform you about the processing of your personal data in connection with the use of our services through the website normy.normoff.gov.sk. The Slovak Office of Standards, Metrology and Testing, with its registered office at Štefanovičova 3, 810 05 Bratislava, Company ID No.: 30 810 710 (hereinafter the "Office"), has the status of a controller in connection with the processing of your personal data.
When processing your personal data, we ensure the highest possible level of protection and handle your personal data in accordance with the provisions of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, repealing Directive 95/46/EC, and Act No. 18/2018 Coll. on Personal Data Protection and on Amendments and Supplements to Certain Acts, as amended.
We would like to inform you that if you have expressed interest in the provision of a technical standard through the website normy.normoff.gov.sk, the legal basis for processing your personal data is a contract concluded on the basis of an order, and we process your personal data for the purpose of providing services in the field of technical standardization. In order to provide our services to you, we need your personal data in the scope of first name, surname, billing address and e-mail address. Failure to provide these data makes it impossible to provide the service. Other data we process include the postal address (in the case of ordering a printed version of a standard), bank details and telephone number. We use your personal data only for the purpose of providing the service you have selected (in particular to execute a valid order, perform the contract, carry out delivery, settle payments and communicate with you as necessary for the purpose of delivering the goods).
The Office processes your personal data for the period necessary to process the order, including its payment and delivery of the goods. The Office subsequently archives your personal data for 10 years in accordance with the Records Management Rules of the Office.
Your personal data are processed by the Office and its employees, as well as by the provider of software services and technical support services. If you order a printed version of a technical standard, your personal data will be provided to the delivery service. Other entities may be granted access to your personal data only in cases provided for by applicable legislation (in particular in the course of administrative or criminal proceedings, or for the protection of consumer rights). As the controller, we supervise that all persons who come into contact with your personal data comply with a high standard of protection. All persons who have access to personal data are bound by confidentiality, and this obligation continues even after the end of their cooperation with the Office.
Your personal data will not be disclosed. Personal data of data subjects are not transferred to a third country or an international organization. Personal data will not be used for automated individual decision-making, including profiling. Your personal data are processed in electronic form by automated means or in paper form by non-automated means.
As a data subject, you are obliged to provide your personal data correctly and truthfully and to inform the Office without undue delay of any change to your personal data. By submitting an order, you confirm that the data you have entered are true.
In connection with the processing of personal data, you have the following rights:
Right to information - you have the right to information concerning the personal data processed by the Office and the purpose and nature of the processing of personal data; general information on the processing of your personal data is contained in this document.
Right of access - you have the right to obtain a copy of the personal data we hold about you, as well as information on how we use your personal data. In most cases, your personal data will be provided to you in paper form, unless you request another method of provision. If you have requested this information by electronic means, it will be provided to you electronically, if technically possible.
Right to rectification - we take reasonable measures to ensure the accuracy, completeness and timeliness of the information we hold about you. If you believe that the data we hold are inaccurate, incomplete or out of date, please do not hesitate to ask us to amend, update or supplement this information.
Right to restriction of processing - in certain circumstances, you are entitled to ask us to stop using your personal data. This includes, for example, cases where you believe that the personal data we hold about you may be incorrect or where you believe that we no longer need to use your personal data.
Right to erasure (right "to be forgotten") - you have the right to ask us to erase your personal data, for example if the personal data we have obtained about you are no longer necessary for the original purpose of processing. However, your right must be assessed in light of all relevant circumstances. For example, we may have certain legal and regulatory obligations, which means that we may not be able to comply with your request.
Right to data portability - you have the right to request the transfer of data concerning you and provided by you to another personal data controller. When exercising this right, you have the right to have personal data transmitted directly from one controller to another controller, where technically feasible. The right to data portability must not adversely affect the rights and freedoms of others. This right does not apply to processing necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of public authority vested in the controller.
Right to file a petition to initiate personal data protection proceedings - if you believe that we process your personal data unfairly or unlawfully, you may lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority, which is the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic, with its registered office at Hraničná 12, 820 07 Bratislava 27; tel. no.: +421 /2/ 3231 3214; e-mail: statny.dozor@pdp.gov.sk, https://dataprotection.gov.sk. In the case of filing a petition electronically, it must comply with the requirements under Section 19(1) of Act No. 71/1967 Coll. on Administrative Procedure (Administrative Procedure Code), as amended.
