| Subject of the standard: | This document specifies limits and methods of measurement for the radio disturbance characteristics of the electromagnetic energy radiated from: motor vehicles driven by internal combustion engines, electric motors, or both, boats propelled by internal combustion engines, electric motors, or both, devices equipped with internal combustion engines (for example, standalone engines and equipment fitted with such engines). The frequency range covered extends approximately from 30 MHz to 1 000 MHz and is intended to protect off-board receivers (i.e. radio receivers not located within the vehicle, boat, or device). This document does not apply to aircraft, traction systems (e.g. trains, trams, trolleybuses), or incomplete vehicles.
